I am involved in making Potato peeler and I have problem to get a good sharp finish. I would like to know about the tools or materials that I can use to do a good job. Can you advice me the best way to do it, please?... The HDR contains much darker and much lighter tones than could be displayed on a computer screen, so you tonemap it to say "That bit of sunny sky will be shown as pure white" etc... I use Photomatix.

fx

Laura, Switzerland too lost many industries and we don"t have a lot more left than the US. In those days, I"d rather produce cutting edge silicon chips in California or the sharpest knives on earth in Switzerland than be in the business of melting steel or weaving cotton. We have a healthy economy despite the loss of most manufactures.

Laura C

It"s such a shame that the US can"t seem to hold on to it"s manufacturing.
I was going to plan a trip to Paris in 09, but now I think I"m going to try to include Switzerland in the plans.
You really inspire me.

Eric

...by the way, is that tone mapping or HDR on the top photo?
